Math Bingo is an exciting and fun way to learn how to solve mathematical equations - players get to solve math equations while playing Bingo at the same time!

The game is played using the same 5 x 5 matrix Bingo card, but instead of the usual number 1 - 75, whole numbers, fractions or even decimals are randomly printed on the face of the card. And in place of Bingo balls, caller cards with math equations are used.

A player who covers five squares in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally can call out "Bingo"! Players may even shout "Eureka" to complete the math theme. This is in reference to the great Greek scholar and mathematician Archimedes who exclaimed Eureka (which means a discovery) when he reportedly proclaimed "Eureka!" after he stepped into a bath and noticed that the water level rose - he suddenly understood that the volume of water displaced must be equal to the volume of the part of his body he had submerged.

Other Bingo patterns such as I, N T, X or Z can also be played. In fact you can even make up your own, as long as it is pre determined before a game starts.

How to play Math Bingo

1. Each player is given a Math Bingo Card and a Bingo pattern is pre-determined.

2. A Caller randomly draws from a pile of Math Bingo caller cards and reads aloud the equation.

3. The players solve the equation and mark the correct answer on their Math Bingo card.

4. The first player to complete the Bingo pattern on his card should call out Bingo or Eureka!

5. The caller then checks the player's card for accuracy, confirms that the player has indeed achieved Bingo, declares the winner and awards the prize.
